Position: Assistant Solicitor/Senior Paralegal (Commercial & Residential)
Job description:
We are seeking individual with a legal brain and at least 2-year PQE to provide practical, pragmatic legal advice and solutions to our clients. The role will be a mix of commercial and residential property matters, including acquisition, sales, purchases, assignments of leases, funding and finance, acting for lenders, landlord and tenant matters, rent reviews and refinancing, and new build developments.
You will be providing advice to high net worth individuals as well as corporations. The role will also involve business development (locally and internationally), and maintaining good client relationships. We have an international client base and the role reports to the Principal Solicitor in charge. This is a permanent full-time position based in Central London (NW1).
Skills/Experience required:
2:1 degree in law or equivalent, and ideally a postgraduate law degree, from reputable universities;
Approximately 2 years PQE
Fluency in English essential as well as good drafting and communication skills;
Experience working previously in a similar role, with experience of working on new build residential properties and high net worth clients, would be advantageous;
Ability to work as a member of a team and independently;
Commercial acumen and attention to detail;
Proven billing records;
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise;
Proven numerical capability and technical proficiency;
International experience and/or fluency in a second language (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) would be advantageous;
Familiarity with case management system LEAP would be a bonus; and
Ability to demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and cross-cultural understanding.
